High Genealogical Research Standards

Having standards in any research is important, and it's especially true for genealogy.  Cutting corners simply won't work.  In a perfect genealogical research world every member in your ancestral research project would have a birth record that reflects their full name, date and location of birth and their parent's names.  Every marriage record would  have the married couple's full names, place of marriage and parent's names.  Every death record would have the full name of the decedent, place of death and name of spouse and parent's names.  However, real world experience has shown genealogists rarely, if ever, see this streamlined lineage for 99% of projects.
